Tully offers Ipswich sacking alternative

An Ipswich councillor has urged the Queensland government not to sack the entire council and instead appoint a committee to watch what it’s doing.
The council has until close of business on Thursday to tell the government why it shouldn’t be sacked outright, with two successive mayors facing serious charges.
But senior councillor Paul Tully said he has a solution that would ensure innocent parties didn’t suffer.
