Modigliani nude painting sold at auction for $157.2m

When it was first shown in 1917, Modigliani’s Nu couche (sur le cote gauche) was considered so offensive that police shut the exhibition down.
Just over a century later, the painting of the defiant nude woman has sold for $157.2m (£115m) at an auction in New York City. The figure paid for the work was $139m but the buyer’s premium brought the total price up to $157.2m.

Chad Kelly, Denver Broncos quarterback, to challenge for backup job

ance Joseph  recalled last weekend that  Chad Kelly  was a “little tubby kid” when he joined the Broncos last year, a Mr. Irrelevant who was not able to play during the 2017 season while recovering from wrist surgery. Kelly has since traded meals with fried foods for dishes featuring spinach and chicken, slimming down his 6-foot-2 frame.
