The attackers targeted Charlie Hebdo’s offices
Two masked gunmen walk into the Charlie Hebdo’s offices, a satirical weekly newspaper, and kill 12 people, including cartoonists they single out and call by name.
The magazine’s editor, Stephane Charbonnier, known as Charb, is among the victims.
The Kouachi brothers, with police behind them in a high-speed chase, seek refuge in an industrial complex at Dammartin-en-Goele, a town 35km (22 miles) northeast of Paris.

Inmate escapes from Golden minimum security prison – The Denver Post

Sean Garcia, who was convicted in Rio Blanco County, was less than three months away from his mandatory parole release date when he fled, according to a news release by Mark Fairbairn, spokesman for the Colorado Department of Corrections. Garcia climbed the perimeter fence at around 8:05 a.m. Local law enforcement officers were notified about the escape, the news release says, which also notes that Garcia now has a goatee. The Ladies European Tour, the European Golf Association , and the Professional Golfers’ Association are among the organisations to have already committed to the document, along with the governing bodies of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. “Signatories call on everyone involved in golf to play their part in developing a culture that values women’s involvement in every aspect of the sport, from participating to pursuing a career,” states the charter.
