The Centre Bounce: The pros and cons of Thursday night footy

Perth will get its annual fix of Thursday night footy tomorrow as the league makes the most of the opportunities presented by the bye rounds to tinker with the fixture.
Fans are accustomed to the standard fixture with one Friday night match, three games split during Saturday afternoon, two on Saturday night and three on Sunday.
Many people argue that removing one of the Saturday games and replacing it with a Thursday fixture would be a better schedule.

Chad Kelly, Denver Broncos quarterback, to challenge for backup job

ance Joseph  recalled last weekend that  Chad Kelly  was a “little tubby kid” when he joined the Broncos last year, a Mr. Irrelevant who was not able to play during the 2017 season while recovering from wrist surgery. Kelly has since traded meals with fried foods for dishes featuring spinach and chicken, slimming down his 6-foot-2 frame.
